HOW OTHERS USE PATHWAY LMS
TELEFONICA O2
The communications retail giant used Pathway LMS to transform its organisation-wide leadership development programme, saving both time and money.
Aiming to embed a coaching culture of enhanced skills and confidence in an audience that was struggling for time in a rapidly-changing landscape, Telefonica UK created a six-week programme with Pathway LMS at its core. A modular online programme supports a journey to coaching excellence, with learners organised into cohorts.
Formal learning assets include eLearning, eBooks, video, interactive scenarios, templates and quick guides. Learners can collaborate and discuss key issues via group discussion topics. The online programme integrates with other internal communities, including Yammer.
The result is an integrated social learning portal that enables the limited face-to-face training time to be more intensively focused on individual support. Pathway LMS provides a complete ecosystem for leaders to develop their skills.
Our managers enjoy the flexibility the programme gives them to learn where and when they want, and the support they get from learning alongside their peers.

DPG PLC
When online certifications are the bread and butter of your business, you need a platform you can rely on. DPG PLC is the largest single provider of CIPD qualifications, and had a valuable reputation and brand to protect when moving their CIPD certification programmes online.
The company chose Pathway LMS to make the most of its intuitive learner environment, scalability and easy integration with other tools. Making the most of Pathway LMS’s open architecture approach, and customising the LMS to meet unique needs, DPG PLC used the resulting platform to scale its delivery and reach a huge audience.
It’s a full and complete learning ecosystem for HR and L&D professionals looking to advance their careers with CIPD qualifications. A comprehensive assessors module, and an e-Portfolio to handle assignments and evidence-based assessment, streamlines learning and assessment. DPG PLC is now the market leader in this space, experiencing unprecedented growth since moving online.
ROYAL COLLEGE OF PHYSICIANS
All UK doctors need to know how to assess trainees, but providing useful, focused and impactful feedback is a skill that must be practiced. The situations doctors face are never one size fits all, and the Royal College of Physicians (RCP) needed to create a flexible, engaging programme that covered a range of assessment tools – in a way that was contextual and added value through providing real examples of good practice.
The solution was to create a CPD-approved online training harnessing the power of Pathway LMS. Each module explores the methods used for assessing trainee doctors, and gives insight into good practice. Video-based scenarios enable learners to practice giving feedback, as well as to capture their reflections and compare their approach against various models. The method provides an authenticity and credibility which reflects the learner’s demanding work environment.
The resulting eLearning from the RCP received overwhelmingly positive feedback, with plenty of demand pre-launch. And, thanks to the flexibility of Pathway LMS, the RCP now has a platform ripe for future development.
IMPROVE INTERNATIONAL
Improve International already had a robust reputation for providing CPD for veterinary surgeons in the UK, but as the organisation grew internationally, and with its customers generally in a time-pressured environment, it sought to create an online solution that complemented and enhanced existing state of the art facilities for surgical and non-clinical training.
Any platform chosen would need to support complex subjects. It would need to be robust, scalable and require minimal support levels so that the Improve International team could focus on growing the organisation. It would also need to fit seamlessly into the existing learning portfolio and limit the time needed from subject matter experts.
Pathway LMS was an ideal fit for Improve International. By creating formal learning paths and orchestrating social learning interactions, Pathway LMS has helped Improve International to accelerate its international growth as well as secure a number of contracts to support the development of vets – scaling-up provision and reaching more people more rapidly.
PITMAN TRAINING
As a training organisation with an enviable reputation stretching back two centuries, Pitman Training knows how to deliver learning. What it needed help with, though, was to take its service – and its large catalogue of qualifications targeting business learners and individuals – online.
It chose Pathway LMS, impressed by the intuitive learner environment, scalability and easy integration to other systems. The online campus needed to align with the offline Pitman experience, and Pathway LMS’s open architecture and ability to customise for branding shone through.
The Pitman experience now delivers more than 450 different courses, with learners guided through the steps to qualification, helping them to develop comprehensive skills.
Pathway LMS has enabled Pitman Campus to deliver unique learning experiences from over 100 centres in the UK and internationally. Our thousands of learners are guided through their personal development, every day. Whether business customers or studying individually, they love the learner experience.

THE IPA
Deploying Pathway LMS as part of a training and certification programme has helped the IPA increase enrolment by 200%, and has helped the advertising membership organisation to take qualification courses to an international audience.
As the advertising industry is self-regulated, the IPA – which counts a large proportion of UK agencies among its members – sets the tone for the way the entire industry works. Its learners are highly demanding in terms of both visual and written content, and so quality of content and platform was incredibly important.
Working with Pathway LMS initially on its flagship Foundation Certificate in 2010, the IPA has grown its offering to encompass a comprehensive suite of online courses, from short skill boosters through to postgraduate level programmes.
Courses are not just delivered as eLearning modules; they feature e-lessons as springboards to additional material. Pathway LMS hosts quick guides, e-lessons, walkthroughs and key readers, discussion boards and named support contacts for each learner. Live exam support and custom reporting solutions are included in the service.
