Polishing up the Silverware

Microsoft Silver Partnership LogoA further two members of our software development teams have passed the Microsoft Certified Professional exam for Application Development, an area in which we hold a Silver Competency.

Silver Competency holders – that is, companies with Microsoft Silver Partnership status – are in the top 5% of Microsoft partners, and have access to the latest Microsoft technology and support.

Acquiring this status means that a company must have at least two developers who have passed an MCP development exam in their chosen business area. Our congratulations go to Ben Clark and Stephen Edwards, who recently completed their exam at Stratum, Cardiff.

They join developers Phillippe Francois and Ian Tucker, who achieved MCP status in April.

‘The exam’s pretty intense’, said Ben, ‘and is a very wide-ranging test of your knowledge. One of the most important things about it is that it really shows you where you’re doing well, and studying for it helps to fill any gaps in your knowledge. You can take away from it a very solid idea of where you need to head next’

‘It’s a great morale booster to have a formal confirmation of the skills you use every day as a developer.’

We’re delighted to have additional MCP individuals on our teams; it further shows our ability to develop high-quality bespoke software that meets Microsoft’s exacting standards.
